Ocean plastic pollution has become a global topic in recent years. 

Increased awareness has helped people realise just how devastating its impact on nature has been, and continues to be.  Plastic, and other marine debris, has been entering oceans for decades, through various means, and currents have carried it to even the remotest parts of the world.

A new system, The Ocean Cleanup, has recently launched in the Pacific ocean, and is the most ambitious and realistic approach to ocean plastic pollution so far...

Abi has been picking up plastic on beaches for years whilst beachcombing, as have many others, and recycling or disposing of it just to remove it from the ocean.

 

Last year she began working with it creatively, experimenting with its brightly contrasting colours and interesting ocean-forged shapes.

 

She has now developed a range of ocean plastic products, which is set to expand during 2019...
